Can You Anticipate the Future?

Business does not necessarily come with a crystal ball. Managers use intuition, data and other resources to try to plot a course of action.  At times journalists, instead of reporting the story, try to get a glimpse of the future too.

This week at the 50 Anniversary of 50th Anniversary of SABEW there was an impressive line-up of speakers including Tim Armstrong of AOL, Janet Yellin of the Federal Reserve and others.

And, at the end of the Conference attention was drawn to the Past, Present and Future of Business Journalism And there was a glimpse of the future with insights from Kevin Delaney of Quartz, Dan Roth of LinkedIn.com and Burt Herman of Storify among others.

And now to see how close this analysis comes to what actually happens.
