The Start-Up of You
Released only yesterday, The Start-Up of You by Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha has already skyrocked to number four of the top 100 books on amazon.com. What holds the top three slots? Even a roadmap for personal entrepreneurship and career advancement is no match for the Hunger Games trilogy.
I’ve only just started the book, but the first sentence is a grabber. “You were born an entrepreneur.” Hoffman and Casnocha make the argument that over centuries we’ve forgotten this and not act as labor.
Hoffman, the cofounder and chairman of Linkedin and Casnocha, an award winning entrepreneur and author, appear to have an intriguing take on career advancement in our post financial meltdown world. It will be interesting to see how their thesis develops.
